Since 1957, when Governor General Vincent Massey made it official, Thanksgiving in Canada
has been the second Monday of October. If you somehow forgot (after all, they don’t air A
Charlie Brown Thanksgiving until at least November in the States!) there’s no need to fret about
finding a turkey now, as these Toronto restaurants will do all the work for you. Bonus: No more
cleanup (we’re looking at you: turkey platters that don’t fit in any sink or dishwasher) for you or
Sunday October 7 $85 per person
At Momofuku’s buzzy Kojin restaurant in the Shangri-La hotel on University Avenue, Chef Paula
Navarrete and the Kojin team skip the turkey altogether and serve a menu of corn flatbread,
radicchio and endive salad, roasted duck subbed for the traditional turkey, with a sweet potato
pie for dessert.
Sunday October 7 and 8 $38 per person
On Sunday and Monday evenings at all of the Drake’s hip offerings, like the Drake Hotel, Drake
One Fifty, newly opened Drake Commissary in the Junction Triangle and Prince Edward
County’s Drake Devonshire, a turkey dinner “with all the fixin’s” comes for only $38 and
included a signature dessert to end the meal.

Monday October 8 $95 per person
Yorkville’s Four Seasons is the home to Daniel Boulud’s restaurant Café Boulud. Various options
abound for prix-fixe menus, including brunch (it’s not Thanksgiving unless meals start at 1PM,
right?) and dinner, with dishes like heritage turkey roulade and pumpkin pecan pie.
Sunday October 7 $119 per person
It’s natural to assume a brunch at the Ritz-Carlton would be, well, ritzy, and this one doesn’t
disappoint. The menu, which is still subject to change, is set to offer food choices almost as luxe
as the accommodations and residences above. Be on the lookout for lobster tails, poached
shrimp, crab legs, smoked salmon and even a cider brined roast turkey.
October 6, 7 and 8 $32 per person and a la carte
What’s a better way to close out a Thanksgiving dinner: shopping or a nap? If you chose the
former, this restaurant, with glass walls that peer out onto Queen Street and into the Bay,
might be the place for you. Turkey stars here, with options like open faced sandwiches one day
and roast turkey another, along with a two-course prix-fixe also available.
